Yamaha YZF R125 maintenance and servicing special tools

Yamaha YZF R125 special tools some are needed some you can do with out but they make your life a lot easier. The list below shows all the tools they are hard to find as they usually are only sent as kits to main dealers.

  1. Flywheel Puller: Necessary for removing the rotor to access the starter clutch or stator.

  2. Rotor Holding Tool: Used to hold the flywheel stationary while loosening or tightening the center nut.

  3. Valve Spring Compressor: Required for stripping the cylinder head to replace valve seals or lap the valves.

  4. Steering Nut Wrench: A specialized C-spanner or socket for adjusting or removing the headstock bearings.

  5. Tappet Adjustment Tool: A small square-headed tool used to hold the valve adjuster screw while tightening the locknut.

  6. Thickness Feeler Gauges: Essential for the 0.10–0.14mm (intake) and 0.20–0.24mm (exhaust) valve clearances.

  7. Crankcase Separator: Used to split the engine cases safely without prying or damaging the mating surfaces.
